We've seen a lot of parties. We've been to a lot of parties. We answer a lot of questions about parties.
If you live here, you know all of the rules. And while some
rules are meant to be broken, sometimes it's
helpful to know them so that you can decide whether to break them or not. We've collected a list of
questions we get asked all of the time, hopefully it helps. Don't see the answer you're looking for?

What's the best night of the week to have a bachelor or bachelorette party?
If you're NOT having your wedding IN Vegas, we're big advocates of having your party a few weeks before the wedding and making an
entire
weekend of it. How many chances will you have to party with your best friends in
Vegas and
they HAVE to be there because you're getting married? If you can't do that, try for a Thursday or
Friday. Really,
any day Wednesday through Saturday works. Just remember that a lot of clubs and shows will be black/closed at the beginning of the week.
Where can I carry my alcohol in Vegas?
The answer is, if you're on the strip, pretty much
everywhere. When you leave a bar, if your
alcohol is in a glass container, the host or hostess will switch it to a plastic cup for you, but
it's fine to have your liquor in the casino or on the street.
Can I have my camera with me wherever I go?
Unless "wherever you go" is
NOT a show or an adult entertainment facility, then
yes. Most clubs and
restaurants encourage you to bring your camera.
Does what happens in Vegas really stay in Vegas?
Sure. As long as you don't start emailing
digital pictures around.
What happens if I meet somebody and I don't have proper, um, supplies?
Then you didn't read our
list of things not to forget. But don't
worry. Every casino has a
24 hour shop near the elevators to the rooms with just such supplies. And
you don't need to be embarassed, because we promise you that you're not the only person who's had
to buy those supplies that night.
If I'm staying at one casino, can I use the pool or spa at another casino?
If reservations are available, you can use the spa at any casino or resort whether you're staying
there or not.
The pool is another issue. Most casinos require your room key to get into the pool area, so you're safest if you assume that you can only use the pool at the casino you're staying at.

Who should I tip?
The answer is everybody! Always remember that for most people in Las Vegas, most of their income is
based on tips. Here's what we recommend (of course, assuming that your service is satisfactory):
Dining Servers: We advocate for the 18-20% tip since your server's tip is probably being split several
ways. If you're with a group,
make sure that gratuity has not already been included on the bill before
you leave more!
In-Room Chefs: Because an in-room chef has had to transport and most likely buy ingredients specific
to your request, we recommend a full 20% tip if you were satisfied with the service.
Room Service Deliveries: $5 per delivery is a great tip for a room service delivery person.
Drivers: If you're taking a cab, we recommend about 10% of the cab fare. Most cab rides in Vegas will be
between $8 and $12 so your average fare with tip will be $10 to $15. If you've hired a driver, we
recommend $10 per person at the end of the night (plus a little extra if you've gotten totally out of
control!).
If you've hired a driver, remember that the gratuity may already be included on your bill!
Bellmen and Luggage Handlers: Tipping $1 a bag to anybody who handles your luggage for you is
common.
Cab Coordinators: These are the men in front of every casino making sure that you get a cab and that
that cab is really going to take you where you want to go. Slide them a couple of dollars every time
you get into a cab. They're working harder than you realize.
Dancers (In Clubs): $20 on top of whatever their per-dance rate is is considered standard.
Dancers (In Room): We recommend $10 per head for each person in the room when the dancer performs. If
you're getting a private dance, we recommend a minimum tip of $50.
VIP Hosts: If you receive VIP service in a club, we recommend tipping your host $20 per person in your
group.
VIP Cocktail Servers :
You'll really want to check and make sure gratuity is not included already on your
bill when you leave, but 18% to 20% of the total is standard for most VIP cocktail servers.
Massage Therapist (In Spa): For any service you receive in the spa, please tip the specialist 15% of the
total cost of the service or services.
Massage Therapist (In Room): For in room massage services, we recommend tipping 20% of the total since
your massage therapist has had to travel and transport equipment to get to you.
Hair and Make-Up Artists: We recommend 15% of the total bill for all hair and make-up service
providers.
Bartenders and Floor Cocktail Servers : $1 to $2 per mixed drink is a common Las Vegas tip for
bartenders and cocktail servers.
Casino Dealers: We suggest tipping 10% of your winnings to your dealer, preferably in chips.
Hotel Concierge: If you use your hotel conceirge for anything, we recommend a tip based on the
amount of hourly time you would estimate was spent on your needs, usually at $20 per hour.
Hotel Room Attendant: Please don't forget how hard your hotel room attendant had to work to keep that
room clean and happy for you! We recommend leaving a tip of $5 to $10 per night you were in the room
when you check out.
Restroom Attendants: Always leave at least a dollar, but try to be a little more generous if you use perfume, lotion or other products provided by the attendant.
Your Las Vegas Party Girlz: We accept gratuity if you like the job we did. Feel free to slide us
cash or pretty presents.
